Driving
If you are driving down to the South West of France we find that www.mappy.co.uk (in English) or www.mappy.fr (in French) are the most helpful route planners.
On the left hand side you enter the start of your journey (anywhere in Europe) and below it you enter the destination – in this case, Sos, postcode 47170, and France. Then press ‘OK’. This will bring up a map and give you a choice of planning your route the fastest way (normally by motorways which you often have to pay a toll for in France) or by a more leisurely way. It will even allow you to change the size of car engine to better guess at fuel consumption
